The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D), has revealed its plans to inaugurate two novel campuses in Haryana's Jhajjar and Sonipat regions. The director of IIT Delhi, Rangan Banerjee, disclosed this development, highlighting that the construction for both campuses is projected to conclude by November 2023. The Sonipat campus will feature the IoE-funded SATHI building, expected to be finished within the same timeframe, at a total project cost of Rs. 59.73 Crore. Notably, the Jhajjar campus will serve as the nation's pioneering institution for Patient-Specific Drug Development in Cancer Treatment.
IIT Delhi's Abu Dhabi Campus Prepares for 2024 Commencement
In a recent press conference, Rangan Banerjee also shared that the formal academic programs at IIT Delhi's Abu Dhabi campus are scheduled to commence in 2024, contingent upon receiving necessary approvals both internally and externally. The institute is actively working to devise admission mechanisms that encompass both Indian and UAE students, aiming to curate diversified classrooms that bring together learners from diverse backgrounds.
