In an effort to increase security presence, activists of the security forces across Jammu and Kashmir have stepped up the vigilance in the context of the first anniversary of the launching of Operation Sindoor on the night of 26 May 2025 in the wake of the Pahalgam incident of 26 May 2025, which gave rise to the bloodthirsty Caliph attack by the terrorists.
There has been no compromise when it comes to the deployment and surveillance of troops along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB). The Indian Army and BSF have kept troops on a high alert since there has been no relaxation in troop deployment and surveillance along the LoC and the IB. Additional forces and anti-drone measures are already in place to deal with any possible misadventure by elements of the Pakistan establishment in critical areas.
Operation Sindoor was an 88-hour scheduled multi-domain operation with precision objectives that witnessed the destruction of nine major terror camps in Pakistan and PoK and the killing of more than 100 terrorists. In Operation Sindoor, over 100 terrorists have been killed in a calibrated multi-domain operation over a span of 88 hours, while nine major terror camps were destroyed both in Pakistan and PoK. It's happening when tensions between India and Pakistan remain unresolved and the Indian army restates the policy that “India does not forget” and "justice gets served.
There is also an increase in security measures in Jammu city and in the surrounding districts by the local administration. The alert will remain in the coming days, the experts said.
