On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the petrol and diesel prices were not changed in India. Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum, the oil marketing companies, maintained the retail rates at 6 AM daily revision policy.
In Delhi, petrol is still selling at ₹94.77 per litre, with diesel selling at ₹87.67 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol costs 103.54/liter, and diesel costs 90.03/liter. Other metros such as Kolkata (petrol ₹105.45), Chennai (₹100.80), and Bengaluru (₹102.92) were also found to be stable.
This break in price adjustment is despite the fact that international Brent crude is close to reaching $110 per barrel at the backdrop of continuing geopolitical upheavals in West Asia. The rates were increased by separate actions of private retailers such as Shell and Nayara, but government outlets preserved the status quo.
The daily commuting costs will not be directly affected by the motorists in Delhi. Prices will be revisited once more tomorrow at 6am depending on global rates of crude, the exchange of rupee for dollar, and local taxes.
