Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given another important appeal to the nation to be careful of petrol, diesel, and LPG usage on a nationwide basis. Recognizing the increasing energy needs and India's reliance on oil imports, PM Modi emphasized the importance of responsible consumption in ensuring India's energy security.
The Prime Minister said to “use petrol, gas & diesel sparingly” and how people can make a huge impact by changing their everyday habits. This call coincides with a period of time when all fuel prices are highly volatile in the world, as well as a high rate of domestic consumption, especially in the Arabic Gulf and Persian Gulf countries.
Several measures have been pushed by the government, such as the promotion of electric vehicles and ethanol blending and the use of public transport. You should avoid unnecessary trips, carpool, keep tires properly inflated, and turn off an engine at a red light. Drive less, carpool, keep tires properly inflated, and turn off the engine at the light, all to save fuel.
This message is supposed to widely raise awareness for conserving fuel. As India strives to lower its carbon footprint and become energy self-sufficient, Modi's message is a timely call to action for all Indians to play their part in achieving a more sustainable future.
Today's fuel saved is tomorrow's energy secured.
