Punjab's melodramatic tale came to a sad conclusion on 19th May, 2026, when Inder Kaur, popularly known as Yashinder Kaur, was reportedly kidnapped at gunpoint and subsequently mauled in the Neelon Canal, Ludhiana.
Kaur had set out with the white Ford Figo on the evening of May 13 in Mundian Kalan to purchase groceries when she was yet to be seen. Her family had made a complaint saying Sukhwinder Singh (Sukha) of Canada had kidnapped her after persistent marriage proposals.
Her remains were found in the canal at Kuba village by the police force. Her car was discovered nearby with blood on it, meaning that she must have been shot or attacked inside her car before she was dumped. Two collaborators—one of them the accused’s father—have been arrested, and a key suspect is believed to have escaped back to Canada through Nepal.
The case has been upgraded to murder, and an all-out manhunt search is underway. The fans and art disciples are calling for justice in a hurry, and the young folk and upbeat singers are in the limelight.
