In a heartening success tale, Harshita Arora, an Indian-origin businesswoman, 25, of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has become the youngest known general partner ever in the history of Y Combinator. Announced on April 6, 2026, Arora has become a core member of YC since being the youngest visiting partner since the summer 2025 batch.
Arora found out about coding when she was 13 and even dropped out of school when she was 15 to become a full-time coder. At the age of 16, she created Crypto Price Tracker, a widely used cryptocurrency portfolio application that was featured by Apple and acquired, earning her the Bal Shakti Puraskar in India. She received an O-1 visa, immigrated to America, and co-founded AtoB (YC S20), a fintech firm that offers payments and financial infrastructure services to the trucking sector. AtoB has expanded to become a Series C startup with more than 30,000 fleets and a valuation of about 700-800 million.
Arora, being a general partner, will collaborate directly with founders at all levels. Her experience of being a teenage dropout and then a leader in Silicon Valley underlines the strength of self-learned abilities, perseverance, and aggressive entrepreneurship.
