Due to a potentially hazardous design defect, Thermos is quickly recalling some 8.2 million insulated food jars and beverage bottles. The recall was announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), which cited 27 reports on consumers being struck with three permanently losing their vision.
Products that are affected are Thermos Stainless King Food Jars (models SK3000 and SK3020 produced prior to July 2023) as well as Sportsman Food and Beverage Bottles (SK3010). Priced at approximately $30, they were sold at Walmart, Target, Amazon, and Thermos.com between March 2008 and July 2024.
This is because of poor pressure relief, where long-term storage of the perishable goods accumulates due to lack of pressure relief, and the goods can easily burst out. Consumers have to cease using such products at once and connect with Thermos to be provided with a replacement at no cost. Model numbers should be at the bottom of your container. This giant recall teaches us the value of safety in products in daily life.
