Reports that emerged on March 3, 2026, declared that there was a dramatic increase in the demand for the private jet charters of key Middle East hubs: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Riyadh, and Beirut, as the region nears erupting into a wider war due to the alleged murder of the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and the resulting US-Israel naval strikes that destroyed nine Iranian vessels.

Aviation brokers and operators of the ultra-long-range business jets (Gulfstream G650ER, Bombardier Global 7500, and Dassault Falcon 8X) have made one-way seats priced between 300,000 and 400,000 (3,778,536) per person between the UAE, Qatar, and Cyprus available on immediate departures to safe destinations like London, Geneva, Singapore, or Mumbai.

The crucial information of industry consultants and booking websites:

  • Demand spike—The number of requests has been 8001, 200 percent higher in the last 72 hours, and many clients are ready to pay handsome premiums in case of same-day/next-day travel.
  • Common customers are high-net-worth individuals, family offices, multinational executives, and wealthy expatriates (both Indian, European, and Gulf nationals) based in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Tehran.
  • Dubai to London/Geneva routes (8-10 hours) and Doha to Singapore/Mumbai are the most popular evacuation routes.
  • Aircraft—It is only large-cabin jets of 5,000 nautical miles and above that will not need refueling to strut in unstable areas.
  • Additional expenses—There are extra charges of 2050 for war-risk surcharge and landing fees in congested safe-haven airports.

According to one of the charter brokers, who is based in Dubai, the company reported to Reuters (anonymously): "We have never experienced anything of this nature." Individuals are making calls as early as 3 am, requesting to be taken out that night; 20-dollar bills don’t matter. Seats that used to sell at 80000-120000 are now sold at four times the price.

Social media are dominated by pictures of sky-high price tags and desperate messaging of expats who are fighting to get a seat. In the UAE and Qatar, many Indians have made individual flights to their native countries but have reported having done this in fear that the worsening situation may shut down business airspace.

Other effects of the surge have been criticism that the rich can evade just as the common citizens are exposed to commercial flight cancellations, lengthy lines, and confusion. The Gulf governments have called out to calm down; however, with Khamenei dead, the Iranian pledging of vengeance, as well as US naval hegemony in the Gulf, panic has reached a significant level among the rich and wealthy.

Since the situation is very unstable, the availability of private jets is declining rapidly, with many operators now offering prices on request in case of any departure in the Middle East.
