In a stunning announcement in the face of soaring tensions in the Middle East, President Donald Trump has stated that Iran has agreed to never build a nuclear weapon or acquire one. In an interview with reporters, Trump made clear that such a concession is the number one item on his list of demands to end the US-Iran war, saying, "They have conceded that." They will never possess a nuclear device.
The US leader referred to current talks as being of high quality, with the participation of such players as Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, and hinted that 15 key areas had been settled. Although Iran publicly denied any direct negotiations and denied the accusations, Trump has demanded that Tehran be desperate to reach an agreement and has even gone as far as to provide a very large gift concerning oil and gas.
The Pentagon is ready to send its troops into battle, but Trump was hopeful that the war, which was mostly fueled by the nuclear pursuit of Iran, would soon end. Analysts are keeping a close eye and marking the signs of de-escalation, given Tehran has a track record of enrichment activities. Eventually, peace in the region can be achieved.
