A gripping video has emerged from the White House Correspondents' Dinner on the 25th of April, 2026, in which President Donald Trump momentarily stumbles and falls to the ground as he is rushed off stage by the Secret Service agents after hearing gunshots at the Washington Hilton.

When we heard the shots, agents immediately encircled Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. In the scramble to take the president off the stage, he tripped and fell but was swiftly assisted to his feet and evacuated. Vice President JD Vance and others were evacuated from the Cabinet too.

The assailant, 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen, has since been arrested for trying to enter the security perimeter with guns. A Secret Service agent suffered a noncritical wound but was wearing a protective vest. Trump later reiterated there was no harm and thanked authorities for their quick intervention. The attack prompted the cancellation of the dinner; the video went viral and was the subject of much debate online.
