INDIA bloc MPs march from Parliament to the Election Commission today

On Tuesday, 6 October 2026, MPs of the INDIA bloc are due to march from Parliament House to Nirvachan Sadan. The march is over the SIR and the Election Commission. The opposition has said more than 140 MPs may join. The march has been scheduled from 11 in the morning.

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav left for Delhi to join the march. The Aam Aadmi Party and the DMK are not taking part. Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said his party will raise the issue on its own, so it will not join the alliance march.

Delhi Police has deployed more than 3,000 personnel in the New Delhi district. The RAF is also on the ground. Traffic may be diverted around Connaught Place, Patel Chowk, Windsor Place, Ashok Road and Jantar Mantar.
