Raghav Chadha DELETES All Anti-Modi Posts After AAP Demotes Him in Rajya Sabha—Reports

This followed a series of old posts made by AAP MP Raghav Chadha on social media denouncing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, which he had removed shortly after he was demoted by the party as the deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha.

The new scandal in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has come about with Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha supposedly erasing a few old X (formerly Twitter) communication profiles in which he wandered on comments deriding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. The growth occurs days subsequent to AAP displacing Chadha as the deputy head of the party in the Rajya Sabha on April 2, 2026, substituting him with Ashok Mittal, a Punjab lawmaker.

On April 4, Gopal, the Delhi AAP national committee president, stated that when the terms "Modi" and "BJP" are entered into the search timeline of Chadha, no negative commentaries are being shown anymore. He claimed that there are only two posts with that reference to Modi, and both are complimentary to the Prime Minister. It has been termed by Bharadwaj as a surgical deletion of the anti-BJP track of Chadha in the past.

The action has added more strain to the current discord between the AAP leadership and Chadha. Previous to this, Chadha made a video titled Silenced, Not Defeated, in which he alleged that he was being reprimanded over bringing the people's concerns to Parliament. AAP leaders, such as Atishi and Bhagwant Mann, have alleged he was softening on the Centre and playing personal PR.

Chadha has not directly responded to the deletion allegations so far. The episode has led to extensive speculation on whether he gets along in the party or not.
