On the day after the Aam Aadmi Party expelled Raghav Chadha as its deputy leader and refused him the opportunity to represent the party on its quota, the MP gave his most vigorous reply to date. Chadha posted a video message on his social media on April 3, 2026, saying, "Silenced, not defeated" (खामोश करवाया गया हूँ, हारा नहीं हूँ).
As an outsider to Parliament, Chadha talked to the aam aadmi directly and asked the party, why not? Have I done wrong? Is it a crime to speak on the matter of issues? These were some of the most important things that he was able to do with the rights of the gig workers, food adulteration, the validity of mobile recharges, airfares, and middle-class issues.
It was a poetic warning of Chadha: I am a river. When the moment comes, I will become a flood. The video has fueled speculation that there is an escalating divide within AAP, although party heads such as Saurabh Bharadwaj retaliated, saying II was playing soft PR and evading hard questions on the central government. Chadha has not said any more about his future in the party.
