Exceeding 5.3 crore qualified voters will be casting their ballots in thousands of polling stations, and high-wire security controls and EVMs have been put in place to ensure smooth campaigns. The campaigning ended on Tuesday, and the stakes had been laid, with the BJP-led NDA pleading that Assam would not welcome continuous change; the LDF taking on the UDF and NDA challenges in Kerala; and the AINRC taking on national parties in Puducherry.
Free and fair polls have been implemented throughout the whole state, utilizing a vast amount of resources of the Election Commission. All seats will be declared on May 4, 2026, along with other state elections that are in progress.
