15-Year-Old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Breaks Down In Tears After Heartbreaking RR Loss — KKR Coach's Gesture Melts The Internet!

A film of the young opening batter of the Rajasthan Royals, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, taking a seat alone on the ground and crying over the loss of his team in the last over against KKR quickly spread on social media, showing the 15-year-old sitting alone on the ground and sobbing uncontrollably over his team's defeat.

Following four consecutive victories in their inaugural match in IPL 2026, Rajasthan Royals suffered two consecutive losses, the last against the Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, where KKR had a four-wicket win, their inaugural match of the season.

Having been sent out to bat, RR could only manage 155/9 despite Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (46) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (39) making a good start. KKR responded by going down to 85/6, but Rinku Singh (53*) and Anukul Roy proceeded to form an important partnership of uninterrupted play to rekindle the pursuit and bag a victory in the last over with a six.

The 15-year-old was captured in a viral video sitting on the sidelines, with his head covered with a cap, and apparently crying, with KKR players coming to console him. This interaction went viral, and netizens applauded the youngster for wearing his heart on his sleeve.

Then even bigger than the match itself followed-- Dishant Yagnik, his new teammates, KKR, came and walked over to him: no filming required, no grand displays, just the placement of a hand on a shoulder and a few words of sympathy. Cricket was suddenly human again.

Sooryavanshi looked very disappointed over having lost a half-century by only 4 runs as, dismissed on 46 out of 28 balls, with 6 fours and 2 sixes at his rate of 164.29, his contributions were all in vain since RR failed to protect his score of 412.

Rating Vikram Rathour, the coach of the RR team, has already suggested Sooryavanshi will get his national debut in the near future, and his performances this season have already put the youngster in the spotlight of the T20I squad in India.
