Billyo Cricketer and Billionaire Harsh Goenka has once again raised huge questions of expectation when he predicted a big change in the IPL with regard to the captaincy. It is safe to say at least four of the following IPL captains will not be heading the team next season, and a couple may be willing to step down even before the season comes to an end. Goenka added in a post on X. Which 4 can you predict and guess, but which one is quite predictable?
Goenka hasn't mentioned any captains, but there are several names out there to be considered, some being spotted regularly by fans and experts like struggling leaders Rishabh Pant (Lucknow Super Giants), Axar Patel (Delhi Capitals), Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians), and Ajinkya Rahane (Kolkata Knight Riders).
Several skippers are under pressure due to poor performances in IPL 2026. Goenka's grouse has already gone viral, making heads turn to weigh the consequences of his allegedly "bad management" and who he should be replacing as the leader of the pack before the mega-auction and next season's adventures.
It's a reminder that the bench in the biggest T20 league is vast and has a very short shelf life for captains just like that.
