India A Women were on a great run at the ACC Women Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 and defeated Nepal Women convincingly in the Group A action on February 17, 2026, at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok. The game demonstrated the dimension and standard of the Indian upcoming talent as they beat Nepal by 8 wickets with an ample amount of overs remaining.

Having won the toss, Nepal Women decided to be the first batting, but did not cope with the disciplined India bowling attack. The prime offenders were left- arm spinner Radha Yadav (3/12 in 4 overs) and medium pacer Saima Thakor (2/15), with the off-spinner Prema Rawat contributing 2 wickets. The highest order of Nepal failed miserably early and although captain Rubina Chhetry scored 28, the innings only lasted 17.4 overs with a below par score of 89.

India A openers Vrinda Dinesh and Anushka Sharma had given a stable ground with the seek of a modest 90. After her 55 match-winning innings in her previous performance against Pakistan A, Vrinda Dinesh once more got the chase underway in unbeaten 42 (28 balls) with 6 fours and 2 sixes. After Tejal Hasabnis had not completed the job, Anushka Sharma assisted her with a soon completed 19. India A achieved the target only in 10.3 overs and thus won by 8 wickets and their net run rate was significantly improved.

Vrinda Dinesh was declared the Award of Man of the Match due to her calm, aggressive hit, which made India A never appear to be in any trouble. The triumph continues to put India A squarely in the semi-final arena, and their bowling department has demonstrated good diversity and discipline throughout the tournament.

Nepal although lost the fight, had the fighting spirit and exposure with a stronger opponent. Their bowlers spearheaded by Kabita Joshi (1/18) only succeeded in picking up two wickets but could not strengthen with firepower to defend at a low score.

This performance is after India A defeated Pakistan A and Nepal having lost at the group stage. As the tournament moves to the knockout stage, India A is turning out to be a powerful team, with youth and experience easily returning together under coach Nooshin Al Khadeer.

The audience and analysts came out in support of the team on the basis of consistency, in particular, the spin duo of Radha Yadav and Prema Rawat, who have been cost-effective and wicket-taking in the process. The ACC Women Asia Cup Rising Stars still is a crucial stepping stone towards the young and upcomers in the continent, yet the Indian India A in its efforts is already a masterpiece of balanced cricket.
