Two new teams have been added in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Whereas IPL is running with 8 teams for the last few seasons. Teams from Ahmedabad and Lucknow will also face the IPL 2022 season. CVC Capital Partners will acquire Ahmedabad for Rs 5,624 crore, while Lucknow will be acquired by RPSG Group for Rs 7,100 crore. Along with this.. IPL will be with 10 teams from now on.
In fact, a total of 22 companies bought tender papers worth Rs 10 lakh after the BCCI invited bids. But the minimum price of BCCI is Rs. IPL is running since 2008. There are also some teams that have played in tournaments in the past and have disappeared. Among them, Deccan Chargers played in IPL from 2008 to 2012. Kochi Tuskers played in 2011. Pune Warriors again played in IPL from 2011 to 2013. Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were banned in 2016 and 2017. Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Super Giants played in their respective seasons. But in 2018 when Chennai and Rajasthan were re-entered. Those teams were cancelled.
