There is a significant change in the AI horizon, with thousands dropping ChatGPT and moving to Claude by Anthropic, which is propelling a 1,487% growth in the number of usage sessions. As per the figures of AI measurement platform Larridin, according to Claude, the number of sessions rose within the span of mid-January to 17,648 in the second week of March 2027.
During the first week of March, Claude surpassed ChatGPT in number of users who use the site every day, literally with people experiencing an average of 38 different sessions per week using Claude as compared to only 18 sessions per week on ChatGPT. It is especially popular in the workplace, where Claude is experiencing twice the activity.
Analysts believe that the migration may be attributed to a better performance of Claude in complex tasks, greater instruction-following, and other characteristics such as artifacts, which increase productivity. The transition received momentum because many users were growing dissatisfied with OpenAI, among other things, with regard to some of its partnerships. With AI elements starting to be a necessity in the workplace, this mass migration is an indication of a shift toward more stable and easier-to-use options. Anthropic is also reacting to that increase by temporarily doubling the usage reduction during off-peak hours to fit the increasing user base.
