Bhavya Gandhi, the original Tapu of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has finally opened up about the real reason he left the long-running sitcom produced by Asit Kumar Modi.
In an exclusive interview, the actor said the major reason was the need for personal and professional growth. “At some age, we have to decide to take care of our future journey and growth. That was the major reason,” he shared.
Bhavya also revealed that the team wanted Tapu’s character to evolve as the actors were growing up and starting to look older. They had requested the makers to address real modern issues related to college life and students, but things did not progress in that direction.
He clarified that differences with the production or creative dissatisfaction were not the primary factors. The actor’s honest revelation has once again brought the spotlight back on one of the most discussed exits from the popular Gokuldham Society show.
