Superstar Salman Khan came to the defense of actor Rajpal Yadav after the actor was ridiculed by journalist Saurabh Dwivedi regarding his ₹9-crore debt scandal at the Chetak Screen Awards.

At one point, when Rajpal made some commentary as to the wild currency and dollar rates, Dwivedi joked that no matter how unstable the currency is, Rajpal will still have to repay the amount of money that he had borrowed. The comment not only momentarily shocked Rajpal but also made the audience laugh.

In response to X (now Twitter) quickly, Salman posted: “Rajpal bhai 30 yrs ke kaam kar rahe ho... kaam toh aapko ho baapke milega aissi dollar, aise milte rahega hakikat yeh hai. He has further added that the up or down in the dollar does not matter when one is to pay back because the payment will be made in India.

The post has massively gone viral, with Salman fans applauding the actor who has proven to be a supporter of the veteran comedian-actor who has made memorable appearances in movies such as Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri. Since his 2012 directorial venture, Rajpal has been experiencing the protracted battle over money.
