A video of a strange security breach has emerged during IPL 2026; the incident took place when a young female fan grabbed and attempted to pull the arm of Sunrisers Hyderabad basher Abhishek Sharma in Jaipur's team hotel.

The fan caught Abhishek, who seemed to be walking in the hotel lobby, perhaps towards the match against Rajasthan Royals. The fan, who was too excited, grabbed his hand and attempted to pull him towards her, even though security was around. In the video, Abhishek appeared distressed and upset.

He was immediately ushered away by security. The video has stirred a storm on social media with many fans condemning what they see as an invasion of privacy and the effectiveness of security measures for the players.

Although the fan was apparently keen for a photo or kickabout, the incident has raised issues regarding fan conduct and player safety by security in the pressure-packed IPL season. So far, Abhishek has not made any statement on this.
