On Saturday, India has registered 35,662 fresh Covid-19 cases in past 24 hours, as per the health ministry's data. With this the country's active caseload stands at 3,40,639, which accounts for 1.02% of the total cases. However, With 33,798 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total recoveries tally in the country has reached to 3,26,32,222. The recovery rate is currently standing at 97.65% in the country. The weekly positivity rate stands at 2.02%, it has been less than 3% for the last 85 days while the daily positivity rate stands at 2.46%, which has been less than 3% for the last 19 days. 

Meanwhile, India has set the world record by administering the highest ever single day vaccinations with 2.5 crore doses administered in the last 24 hours. As per ICMR, a total of 55,07,80,273 samples tested for Covid-19 up to 17th September 2021. 14,48,833 samples were tested yesterday. Assam has administered vaccinations of over 7 lakh people on Friday. Karnataka has administered highest number of vaccination in the country with 26.92 lakh doses given in a day. Meanwhile, Indore has vaccinated over 1.25 lakh people in a day.
