On Thursday, India reported 10,725 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 36 new fatalities and 13,084 people recovering from the deadly viral infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. 

The death toll due to Covid-19 infections in the country has climbed to 5,27,488, said the ministry.

Comprising 0.21 percent of the total cases, the active caseload currently stands at 94,047, said the data. 

The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate currently stand at 2.73 percent and 3.20 percent, said the ministry. 

Delhi 

On Wednesday, the national capital logged 945 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 6 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the state health bulletin. With the positivity rate currently standing at 5.55 percent, the active caseload has climbed to 4,310, said the data. The overall tally of Covid-19 infections in the city has climbed to 19,96,352, and the death toll has reached 26,442. 

Maharashtra 

On Wednesday, Maharashtra reported 1,913 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 5 fresh fatalities, said the State health department. The active caseload in the state currently stands at 12,578, said the data.
