On Monday, India has recorded 1,270 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Ministry of Health. The total number of cases has reached 4,30,19,453, said the ministry. As per the data, the active cases have further declined to 16,187, comprising 0.04 percent of the total infections. The national Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.75 percent, it said. Meanwhile, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.25 percent, while the weekly positivity rate stood at 0.29 percent, the ministry said. With 1,567 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the caseload of total recoveries has reached 4,24,83,829, said the health ministry.

Fresh Covid-19 cases in Delhi 

On Monday, Delhi has reported 71 fresh Covid-19 cases and one death in the last 24 hours, as per the health bulletin. The total Covid-19 cases in the city moved up to 18,64,549 including 448 active cases. As per the Delhi Health Department bulletin, the city has recorded a positivity rate of 0.31 percent. With 86 people recovering from the infection in the last 24 hours, the total recoveries have reached 18,37,950, said the data. 

Maharashtra 

On Monday, an official said, with the addition of three new cases of coronavirus, the infection count in Maharashtra's Thane district has reached 7,08,747. As said by the officer, these new cases were reported on Sunday. There was no fresh fatality and the death toll remained unchanged at 11,880, he said, adding that the Covid-19 mortality rate in the district stood at 1.67 percent.
