On Sunday, August 14, India reported 14,092 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 41 fresh fatalities and 16,454 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 2 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. 

Comprising 0.26 percent of the total infections, the active caseload currently stands at 1,16,861, said the ministry. 

The recovery rate and the positivity rate 

With the recovery rate standing at 98.54 percent, the recovery tally has climbed to 4,36,09,566 including 16,454 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data. 

The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate currently stand at 3.69 percent and 4.57 percent respectively, said the ministry.

Telangana 

On Saturday, Telangana reported 440 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to reach 8,28,911, as per the state health department. With 652 people recovering from the global disease in the last 24 hours, the total tally of recoveries in the state has climbed to 8,21,249, said the bulletin. 

Delhi 

On Saturday, the national capital logged 2,031 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 2,260 people recovering from the viral infection and 9 people succumbing their lives to the virus in the last 24 hours, as per the state health bulletin.
