On Thursday, June 30, India logged 18,819 new cases of Covid-19 along with 39 new fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. The current active caseload in the country stands at 1,04,555, said the ministry.
With the fatality rate standing at 1.21 percent, the death toll has climbed to 5,25,116 in the last 24 hours. With the recovery rate standing at 98.55 percent, the daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate standing at 4.16 percent and 3.72 percent, showed the data.
In the last 24 hours, 13,827 people have recuperated from the deadly infection, taking the caseload of recoveries to reach 42,822,493.
The WHO warns about increasing Covid-19 cases in 110 countries
On Wednesday, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned regarding the increasing cases of Covid-19 in 110 countries and these cases are mainly consisting of two fast-spreading Omicron sub-variants. Earlier, this week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that the fast-spreading Omicron sub-variants BA.4 and BA.5 will constitute around half of the coronavirus cases in the United States.

Madhya Pradesh
On Wednesday, Madhya Pradesh logged 93 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the overall tally of infections to reach 10,44,243, as per an official. The official said that with zero fresh fatalities being reported in the last 24 hours, the death toll remains unchanged at 10,741.
Mumbai
On Wednesday, Mumbai reported 1,504 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 3 fresh fatalities, taking the overall caseload to reach 11,11,227 and the death toll climbed to 19,609, as per Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Delhi
On Wednesday, the national capital reported 1,109 fresh cases of coronavirus along with one fresh fatality, as per the state health department. With the positivity rate standing at 5.87 percent, the active caseload in the city has reached 4,325.
