On Saturday, June 04, India registered 3,962 fresh cases of Covid-19 along with 26 fresh fatalities and 2,697 fresh recoveries in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Ministry of Health. With this, the overall caseload of total deaths due to the viral infection has climbed to 5,24,677 and the overall tally of recoveries has climbed to 4,26,25,454, said the ministry. The recovery rate from Covid-19 stands at 98.73 percent.
The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 0.89 percent and 0.77 percent respectively. The nation's active caseload comprises 0.05 percent of the total infections and currently stands at 22,416, said the ministry.
On Thursday, the number of daily fresh cases of Covid-19 crossed the 4,000 mark for the first time in three months.
West Bengal
In the last 24 hours, West Bengal reported 42 fresh cases of Covid-19 along with zero fresh fatality, as per the state health bulletin. The overall caseload of Covid-19 has climbed to 20,19,543 and the death toll remains unchanged at 21,204, said the bulletin.
Karnataka
In the last 24 hours, Karnataka registered 259 fresh Covid-19 cases including 243 fresh cases being reported in Bengaluru, said the health department. The state's Covid-19 positivity rate stands at 2.06 percent with the active caseload standing at 2,229, said the department.
Delhi
On Friday, the national capital reported 345 fresh cases of coronavirus, taking the overall caseload of infections to 19,07,982, as per the state health bulletin. With 389 fresh recoveries, the tally of recoveries has reached 18,80,324, said the bulletin.
