On Thursday, India has registered 4,184 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the total tally of Covid-19 cases to reach 42.98 million, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With 104 fresh fatalities due to the viral infection in the last 24 hours, the total death toll in the country has reached to 515,459, said the Health Ministry data.

Positivity Rate
As per the ministry, the active cases comprise 0.10% of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate further improved to 98.70 per cent. In the last 24 hours, a reduction of 2,474 cases has also been recorded in the active Covid-19 caseload. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.48% and the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.58 per cent, as per the ministry.
Recovery Rate
The number of people who have recovered from the disease surged to 4,24,20,120, while the case fatality rate was 1.20%. The cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive has exceeded 179.53 crore.
Covid-19 Tests and Vaccinations
A total of 77.06 crore Covid-19 tests have been conducted so far, of which 8.73 lakh tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. India has administered 179.53 crore vaccine doses under the nationwide vaccination drive.
Covid-19 cases in Delhi
Delhi has recorded 208 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 1 death in the last 24 hours, as per the state health department. The positivity rate in the national capital stands at 0.46 per cent, as per the health department.
