On Tuesday, India has recorded the lowest daily rise in Covid-19 cases since early March. The country has reported 14,313 fresh infections in the last 24 hours. 181 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in India in the past 24 hours as per the Union health ministry. The current recovery rate is 98.04% which is the highest since March 2020.
The total tally of Covid-19 cases has reached to 3,39,85,920, whereas, the active cases declined to 2,14,900, which is the lowest in 212 days, as per the Union Health Ministry data updated on Tuesday. With 181 fresh fatalities the death tally has reached to 4,50,963.
Active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.63% which is the lowest since March 2020. The active cases comprise 0.63% of the total infections, the lowest since March 2020, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.04%, the highest since March 2020, said the ministry.
India's Covid-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16. It went past 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and surpassed the one-crore mark on December 19.
