On Friday, India has registered 31,382 fresh Covid-19 infections along with 318 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the latest data updated by Union Health Government. The total tally of Covid-19 cases has reached to 3,35,94,803, whereas the active cases have declined to 3,00,162, which is the lowest in 188 days, as per the Union Health Ministry data. However, the caseload of deaths has climbed to 4,46,368 including 318 fresh fatalities, as per the data updated at 8 am.

The total number of vaccine doses administered in India has reached to 84,15,18,026 including 72,20,642 vaccine doses administered in the last 24 hours, the data said. 66% of adults received 1 vaccine shot, 23% both doses, it said. The current Covid-19 death toll in India stands at 4,46,368. The country has registered 32,542 discharges in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries from the disease now stands at 3,28,48,273. 

The active cases comprise 0.89% of the total infections, the lowest since March 2020, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded at 97.78%, the highest since March 2020, the ministry's data said.
