On Tuesday, India has reported 13,405 fresh Covid-19 cases and 235 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there are 2,02,131 active cases in the country while the recovery stands at 98.33 per cent. The daily positivity rate stands at 1.93 per cent. India's Covid recovery tally has increased to 4,21,24,284 with 37,901 recoveries logged in the last 24 hours, said the ministry.

As per the CoWin dashboard, over 175.46 crore doses have been administered across the country so far. Of these, 1.79 crore were booster doses.
In the last 24 hours a total of 8,31,087 tests have been conducted. India has so far conducted over 76.01 Cr (76,01,46,333) cumulative tests.
Biological E’s Corbevax gets Emergency approval for Children
The nation’s drug regulator has authorized vaccine-maker Biological E’s Corbevax for emergency use among children aged 12-17, making a third shot available in the Covid inoculation drive for youngsters. The Centre has already placed a purchase order for 5 crore doses of Corbevax, likely to be available in states by February-end. This is the third vaccine to be given emergency use nod for 12-17 after Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin and Zydus Cadila’s ZyCov-D.
Cases in Kerala
Kerala has reported 4,069 fresh Covid-19 cases and 87 fatalities due to the infection in the last 24 hours.
Maharashtra
As the state is seeing a decline in daily cases of Covid-19, "coronavirus-related restrictions are likely to be eased further in Maharashtra in March, but mask mandate and social distancing norms will continue to remain in place", said Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Monday.
