On Monday, India's daily Covid-19 graph has showed an improvement with reporting 14,306 fresh Covid-19 cases, which is 10% lower than cases recorded on Sunday. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.18%. of 443 Covid-19 related fatalities were recorded. With 18,762 people freshly recovered in the last 24 hours, the total number of people who have recovered has reached to 3,35,67,367, as per the data updated by Union Health Ministry. 

As per the data update, active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently standing at 0.49%. The active caseload stands at 1,67,695, which is the lowest in 239 days.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his monthly Mann Ki Baat broadcast said, "the success of India's Covid vaccination drive shows its capability and noted that the country is moving ahead with new energy after crossing the 100 crore vaccine doses milestone." 

Thane has reported 169 new cases of coronavirus, raising the infection count in the Maharashtra district to 5,64,663, an official said. These new cases were recorded on Sunday, he said. The virus claimed the life of one more person, pushing the death toll in the district to 11,478, he said, adding that the Covid-19 mortality rate in Thane is 2.03%.
