A slight decline has been registered in the cases of deadly corona virus epidemic in the country today. In the last 24 hours, 5,921 fresh cases of corona virus have been reported in the country along with 289 fresh fatalities due to the virus. Yesterday 6,396 cases and 201 deaths were registered. The total tally of Covid-19 in the country has reached to 4,29,57,477. As per the ministry, the active cases have declined to 63,878, comprising 0.15 per cent of the total infections, while the country's Covid-19 recovery rate has improved to 98.65% per cent.
Active cases reduced to 63,878
As per the data released by the Union Health Ministry, 11,651 people have recovered in the country in the last 24 hours, after which the number of active cases has come down to 63,878. At the same time, the number of people who lost their lives due to this epidemic has increased to 5,14,878. According to the data, so far 4,23,78,731 people have recovered from the deadly infection.

SII's Covovax approved for Emergency use for Children
As per the official sources, the drug regulator's expert committee on Covid-19 vaccines has recommended emergency use authorization (EUA) for Serum Institute of India's Covovax to be used in the age group of 12-17 years.
Covid-19 in Delhi
Delhi has reported 302 fresh Covid cases, 4 deaths, and 420 recoveries, as per the state's health bulletin. Active cases in the state stands at 1,466, reported news agency ANI. The positivity rate fell further to 0.62 per cent from 0.77 per cent recorded on Thursday. The cumulative caseload of the national capital has now reached to 18,61,189, while the death toll stands at 26,134.
Cases in Mumbai
On Saturday, Mumbai has reported 78 fresh cases along with 127 recoveries in the last 24 hours, said the state health department. As per the department, active caseload in the state stands at 600.
