On Thursday morning, India has reported 9,119 new coronavirus infections, taking the cumulative case tally to 3,45,35,763, with 396 fresh fatalities the death count has increased to 4,66,584. The active cases in India now stand at 1,11,481, which is the lowest in 538 days, as per the data updated by the health ministry. The health ministry said, "for 47 straight days the country has been reporting below 20,000 new infections daily."  

Ministry of Health has shared the information on twitter, "India’s Cumulative #COVID19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 119.38 Cr (1,19,38,44,741). ➡️ More than 90.27 Lakh doses administered in last 24 hours." 

Meanwhile, Delhi has reported 35 Covid-19 cases at a positivity rate of 0.06 per cent and zero fatality due to the infection, according to data shared by the health department on Thursday. With the fresh cases, the infection tally rose to 1,440,754 while the number of deaths remains at 25,095. 

Mumbai on Wednesday reported 258 new coronavirus positive cases and four fatalities, taking the tally to 7,61,776 and the toll to 16,315, a civic official said. After reporting less than 200 cases for two consecutive days, Mumbai saw a marginal rise in infections and fatalities on Wednesday.
