On Saturday, June 18, India logged 13,216 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 23 fresh fatalities and 8,148 people recovering from the infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the total tally of Covid-19 infections in the country has climbed to 4,32,83,793, while the total death tally has climbed to 5,24,840, and the total caseload of recoveries has reached 4,26,90,845, said the ministry.

This is for the first time in the last 113 days that the nation has reported more than 13,00 daily fresh Covid-19 cases. Comprising 0.16 percent of the total cases, the current active caseload in the nation stands at 68,108, as per the ministry. The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 2.73 percent and 2.47 percent respectively, said the ministry.
Thane
On Friday, the Thane district reported 957 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the tally of Covid-19 infections to 7,18,047, as said by an official on Saturday. With 2 people succumbing to the viral infection, the death toll has climbed to 11,898, with the mortality rate standing at 1.67 percent, said the official.
Delhi
On Friday evening, Delhi logged 1,797 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 1 fresh fatality, as per the city's health department. The positivity rate in the national capital stands at 8.18 percent, said the department.
