India has reported 29,689 fresh covid positive cases in the last 24 hours. In the last four months it is the lowest daily rise of fresh cases. As per the data from the Union Health Ministry, "at an average of 38.26 lakh doses per day, around 9.94 crore doses were administered till Sunday, against the vaccination target of 13.5 crore doses in July."

Moreover, as per the data by Union Health Ministry on Tuesday, "at 29,689, India reported less than 30,000 new Covid-19 cases after 132 days.  The number of active cases in the country also fell below 4,00,000 after 124 days." India’s caseload of fresh Covid cases stands at 3,14,40,951, while the death toll reached to 4,21,382 with 415 daily fatalities, the data stated. 

On Monday, 17,20,110 Covid-19 tests were administered, taking the total number of tests conducted so far to 45,91,64,121. "The daily positivity rate has declined to 1.73 per cent. The weekly positivity rate was recorded at 2.33 per cent", the ministry data stated. 

A total number of 44,19,12,395 vaccine doses have been administered in the country till now. As per the data by Union Health Ministry, "the figure for yesterday itself was over 66 lakh." The number of people vaccinated with both doses is now 9,53,96,246. On Monday, 17,20,110 Covid-19 tests were conducted, taking the total number of tests conducted to 45,91,64,121. 

Kerala

Kerala reported 11,586 new cases and 135 deaths in the past 24 hours. On Monday, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said, "officials had to stop vaccination in several districts because of a lack of doses. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha had zero Covishield doses, and supplies are not expected before July 29."

Maharashtra

Maharashtra reported fewer than 5,000 cases and 53 deaths in the last 24 hours. Active cases in the state are now standing at 92,088, the lowest since early March. 

North-Eastern States

Assam reported 1,528 fresh cases, Manipur 989, Meghalaya 569, Arunachal Pradesh 490 and Tripura 458.
