On Saturday, India's caseload of the coronavirus disease reached 32,393,286 when 34,457 fresh cases were reported in the last 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry's data update.
On Saturday, Bloomberg reports, "Pfizer-BioNTech's two-dose vaccine against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) is poised for full approval by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) early next week, which will expedite an earlier timeline for licensing the shot."
In Maharashtra, "the Covid-19 caseload in Thane district grew by 220 and reached 5,49,213", told by an official on Saturday. With 9 persons succumbing to the infection during the day, the death toll rose to 11,230 in the district. As reported by PTI, in neighbouring Palghar district, the case count climbed to 1,34,159, while the death toll stood at 3,275.
As per ANI reports, Assam has reported 708 new positive cases, 734 recoveries, and 13 deaths today. Active cases 6,910 and total positive cases 5,83,458.
