On Thursday, India reported 46,164 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of reach 32,558,530. A spike of over 20,000 infections is recorded in the country in the last two days. In the last 24 hours, 607 fresh fatalities were also recorded, the death toll is now standing at 436,365. 

As reported by PTI on Thursday, Thane reported 193 new cases of coronavirus, taking the infection count in the Maharashtra district to 5,50,098, an official said. The Covid-19 mortality rate in Thane stood at 2.04%, he said. 

According to the reports of PTI, Tamil Nadu recorded 1,573 fresh coronavirus cases, infection tally rises to 26,05,647, death toll standing at 34,788 with 27 more fatalities, said Health department bulletin. 

As reported by ANI, "Assam reports 689 new cases, 7 deaths and 681 discharges today; active cases 6,659. Delhi reports 35 fresh Covid-19 cases, 86 recoveries, and one death today. Active cases in the national capital now stands at 389 with total recoveries at 4,12,081 and death toll is at 25,080."
