The tragic incident that took the life of a downy boy, merely 15 years old, from the Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh has shaken up the entire district. A heart-wrenching incident has occurred in Chhattisgarh's Janjgir-Champa district, shaking up its entire Janjgir-Champa district, where a Downey 15-year-old boy died after eating watermelon. Akhilesh Dhivar died on Monday, and three children (4, 12, and 13 years old) in Ghurkot village became sick with symptoms related to diarrhea and vomiting because of eating the same fruit as Akhilesh.
Police said the kids ate cut watermelon; "it was left open for a while at a family gathering," and there was "a high probability that it had to be infected with bacteria and cause food poisoning." Children that had been affected were rushed to the district hospital, where Akhilesh died on arrival. The remaining three are rumored to have settled.
It is hypothesized that bacteria were responsible for the melon's unpleasant smell. Police have opened an inquiry, and forensic examination is pending to determine the cause of the accident. The case is a follow-up to a similar incident with watermelons in Mumbai that took place several weeks ago, raising concerns about the dangers of fruit-cutting during the summer.
