South Goa has been the ground zero of individuals who seek peaceful relaxation without engaging in the North Goan party culture. The following are 5 secret beaches that you must go to in 2026:
1. Butterfly Beach
Literally unreachable by road, only approachable by sea or by embarking on a forest walk to Palolem. Famous for clear waters, dolphins, and fluttering butterflies—ideal for swimming and alone time.
2. Cola Beach
Known by its beautiful freshwater lake and lagoon bordered by hills and palm trees. This golden sand and quiet sea have made it one of the most beautiful hidden gems in South Goa.
3. Kakolem Beach (Tiger Beach)
Below the Cabo de Rama Fort lies this dramatic, rocky beach, which needs a steep descent. Its untamed beauty and solitude provides beautiful scenes and calm sunsets.
4. Galgibaga Beach
It is one of the clean beaches of Goa and also a nesting beach where the turtles nest. It has golden sands and few shacks, making it ideal for relaxation and nature enthusiasts.
5. Betul Beach
A scenic and serene beach of a fishing village, stunning and dramatic cliffs, and the local ATM. Much more of an English country stroll than a commercial hustle, it is ideal when in need of a long walk and a fresh seafood treat.
These are non-mainstream locations, which reflect the natural, unspoiled beauty of South Goa. Go only in the early morning or on weekdays when there would be the greatest repose.
