On April 23, 2026, the Central Board of Secondary Education published the second timetable of examinations, which will be the culmination for the Class 10 students. According to the official notification issued by the CBSE headquarters in Dwarka, New Delhi, the exams shall commence on May 15 and end on May 21, 2026.
Exams will start on May 15 (mathematics), May 16 (English), May 18 (science), May 19 (regional and foreign languages), and May 21 (social science) and will all be held between 10.30 and 1.30.
In accordance with the instructions of the National Education Policy 2020, the second board exam has been implemented, so now students can enhance their results in a maximum of three different subjects: mathematics, science, social science, or languages. Only the students that took part in the Phase 1 exam between February 17 and March 11, 2026, are eligible.
The CBSE Class 10 compartment exam 2026 will also be administered along with the Phase 2 exam. The official date sheet is available as a download on the website—cbse.gov.in.
