The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced a peaceful protest march in Delhi on September 5, accusing the central government of failing to honour commitments made on July 25.

The march will start at India Gate and proceed to the New Delhi Police Headquarters. It will be led by families of students who died by suicide after the NEET paper leak and alleged police brutality victims, with students and youth organisations expected to join.

CJP claims the government delayed action on assurances that led to the withdrawal of its earlier 36-day agitation at Jantar Mantar, including withdrawal of FIRs against protesters and compensation for affected families. “Our patience cannot be mistaken for weakness. Our good faith cannot become an opportunity for the government to betray us,” the group said.

Calling it a demand to “Keep Your Word,” CJP has urged young citizens across the country to participate in the Teachers’ Day mobilisation.
