The Congress has set three conditions to end the deadlock that has disrupted Parliament’s Monsoon Session for weeks.

The party and other Opposition groups are demanding a full discussion on the police action against protesting students in Delhi, a debate on the alleged “chanda chori” (donation theft) at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and accountability from Home Minister Amit Shah on related issues.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has indicated the government is ready for some discussions, but the Opposition insists on its full set of demands being met first. Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has also called for Shah’s resignation in connection with the student protests.

With only a few days left in the session, the government is exploring strategies to pass pending bills while the Opposition continues to disrupt proceedings. Talks between both sides remain inconclusive, leaving the future of productive legislative business uncertain until the conditions are addressed.
