The fierce rivalry between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026 has taken a new shape, as CSK raised the matter with the BCCI. The problem lies in the fact that the viral track, dosa, idli, sambhar, and chutney were played by the home team that day, April 5, in the match held at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, but at the time when CSK was about to start their innings.

The decision, which CSK management referred to as not in good taste, was claimed by the management to mock the cultural identity of Tamil Nadu. There were also issues that they raised in regard to the remarks that were raised against their players in the course of the game.

This song has previously been famous, with the RCB player Jitesh Sharma coming under troll for singing this song, and the fans of CSK had also used this song to attack him. One of the highest officials of the IPL admitted that the BCCI has received the complaint and will investigate the case of a potential conduct rules breach. The evolution has increased further rivalry between the two fanbases.
