Lucknow University is facing fresh embarrassment after an audio recording allegedly featuring Assistant Professor Dr. Paramjit Singh of the Zoology Department went viral. In the clip, the professor is heard telling a female student, “Darling, I’ve leaked both papers for you,” referring to core and elective exam papers, while repeatedly asking her to meet him in his office.

The student filed a complaint claiming the professor made inappropriate advances and had previously molested her. She alleged he was using the leaked papers as leverage to force a meeting. Three audio recordings of their conversations have been submitted to university authorities along with a formal complaint.

The Controller of Examinations has taken serious note of the matter, terming it a grave breach of examination confidentiality and student dignity. Police have reportedly detained the professor for questioning. The university has initiated a swift inquiry and reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards such misconduct.

Dr. Paramjit Singh has denied the allegations, claiming they stem from internal university politics. The incident has sparked outrage among students and parents, raising serious questions about the safety of female students and the integrity of the examination system at the prestigious state university.
