Another example is being armed with a dramatic conflict at MIT ADT University, Pune, where a man furiously approached the campus, physically attacking a male student who was accused of harassing his daughter. As it was reported, the girl had gone through 15 days of continuous online harassment comprising repetitive unwanted messages, stalking efforts, and unwanted contacts made on social media, which resulted in her being in high distress.

The family was said to have already harassed the college with their complaints but did not feel anything serious was done to tackle the situation and had thus taken the matter into their own hands. When the father heard the accused, who is also supposedly a student in another college such as Dr. D.Y. Patil College, was on campus, he confronted him publicly, and after a heated argument and a scuffle, it was revealed that the accused was indeed a student in another institution, such as Dr. D.Y. Patil College. The video of the incident became viral in a moment and sparked the debate on student safety and the performance of the institutional response to the harassment report as well as the emergence of vigilante behavior in such situations. Originally, the college officials and other people on the scene intervened to break them up, and now the issues of responsibility in academic areas are being investigated by the police.
