There will be another inflation shock as the general public's budget is deteriorating owing to rising prices. Soap and detergent costs have been raised by leading corporations Hindustan Unilever and ITC. Companies claim that rising production costs have resulted in higher prices for soap and detergents.
In the Indian market, Hindustan Unilever and ITC are two of the most important corporations. HUL has raised the price of its 1 kg box of Wheel detergent powder by 3.4 percent. It will rise by Rs 2 per kg as a result of this increase. Aside from that, the costs of Lux soap and Rin detergent soap will rise. Fiama Di Wills and Vivel soaps have also had a 10-15% price rise from ITC.
The 250-gram pack of Rin Bar increased by 5.8%. Lux soap 100 g multipack has had its price raised by Rs 25. As a result, ITC has raised the price of a 100-gram pack of Fiama soap by 10%. Engage deodorant had a 7.6% increase, while 120 ml perfume saw a 7.1% increase.
Input costs have risen, and the industry as a whole has raised pricing. Only a few goods have had their pricing changed. The businesses have ensured that they will not be forced to pass on the entire cost to the consumer.
