Jantar Mantar in New Delhi has been completely cleaned and restored after the prolonged Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest came to an end. The youth-led agitation, which demanded action over the NEET paper leak and the resignation of the then Education Minister, lasted over a month before protesters vacated the site.

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) swung into action immediately, deploying sanitation workers, heavy machinery and cleaning equipment overnight. Reports indicate that nearly 60 metric tonnes of waste were cleared from the protest area, surrounding roads and footpaths. Graffiti and slogans painted during the agitation were also removed, and green spaces restored.

Fresh photographs circulating online show a stark contrast — the once-crowded and littered protest ground now appears neat and orderly. Police continue to maintain surveillance in the area as normalcy returns to one of the capital’s most prominent protest venues.
