Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for a drone attack on Saudi Aramco’s Jazan oil refinery in southwestern Saudi Arabia. The Saudi energy ministry reported a fire broke out at the facility early on the day of the incident but was extinguished by Aramco’s industrial security teams, with no injuries reported.

The Jazan refinery, which processes about 400,000 barrels of crude per day near the Yemen border, has faced prior Houthi claims of strikes, including damage that led to temporary shutdowns. Houthis stated the latest action responded to alleged Saudi drone incursions into Yemeni airspace.
